I was just reading up on my Google Reader posts my friends share up to me, when I ran across this piece over at WowInsider.com.
Now as a recently reformed WOW addict, I can read posts like these and not get TO excited, but this is really freaking cool. Obama’s FCC transition co-chair is a WoW player!! Well, it would of made me happy to know he played ANY video game at that. But this kind of goes hand in hand with what I have heard about our President Elect. He loves his BlackBerry, uses a MacBook Pro, and from the sound of it will be teh first prez to bring a lappy into the good old oval office.
This is good news not only for us gamers, who rely on the internet being bottleneck free, and enjoy every form of contect straming or otherwise at the same speeds (of course they are server restricted like everything else) because we may have someone who better understands the internet, and not just another “series of tubes” guy. Maybe he gets that it is REALLy like a big cloud,
After spotting that article I also got a wiff of this one over at ArsTechnica.com with their top four reasons on how to fix the FCC. Looking over the article I noticed there are 5 bullet points, but they all center around making their website a little more accessible and user friendly. I could not agree more! Maybe having some younger blood in teh oval office will be good for America, maybe we can get some really awesome solid technology laws. . . or maybe they will all be to busy trying to get level 80 that nothing will get done.
