Update 8: Things feel much “snappier” and the keyboard does not seem to lag as much. We will see how well it does in between restarts. Ah, also moving a program from one screen to the next feels MUCH more solid, much more Mac like. Now hopefully PUSH email will work like it is supposed to now. *le sigh* the Google Maps app does not seem changed much. ..but it is BLAZING fast. Was this just a speed update? At almost 250 megs it seems like it would of been a lot more. This is it for now, maybe tomorrow I can dig up something more of what was updated. Good night.
So in the midst of testing out every single application made for Twitter on the iPhone, I tried out the much touted Twinkle. Mainly I got it because of the buzz on Twitter itself for it, all my geek friends were saying how awesome it was when they had to jail break their iPhones, and how awesome it was now that it was official and on the Apps store. Well, I downloaded it. . . and used it, and it well. . .lets first talk about the good.
Yep, and it was a day early, there are some mirrors handing out the software tool so you should be able to get it now if you could not download yesterday. So what are you waiting for? Go and get your feet wet with some jail-breakage over at http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/42858313/thanks-for-waiting W00t!
Marketing and hype can really be something else. Twitterific, another Twitter client for the iPhone has gotten much press and honestly, when the apps were launching for the store this July, I had no idea there were any other choices for my Twitter client. Twitterific’s cute little blue bird of an icon got shown everywhere, and look how cute it is!
Yesterday I had to pick myself up, and go back to the mall to get my iPhone, Apple had given me this handy little golden. . .err, silver ticket to get back in the store within a 24hr time frame if I could get the issue worked out with AT&T that had prevented me from getting a phone in the first place.
